Pyrex!  I so love this pattern; it reminds me of a matter of lovely things, but especially, for some reason, the wheat reminds me of my Great Grandma Didi. She is quietly in the background of many of my childhood memories.  She was too cute.  Just like this.

give me liberty

I remember the first time I learned of Liberty; I was thirteen and somewhere on the East Coast with my mom.  We were touring material shops in the Northeast and one of our stops was like a Liberty warehouse.  The prints on their own were plenty charming, but the feel of the cotton mesmerized me!  I didn't have enough spending money to buy any yardage, but I'm glad I didn't - the memory alone is worth enough.  And now as you probably know, Liberty is at Target!  Glee!  I only wish it were a permanent fix.

Taking a page from my mom's own book and perfecting the birthday gift that is a bunch of little, thoughtful presents in one big package and using it on her!  Her birthday is approaching in early April and I found this sweet little creamer to put in her package.

It reads, on the bottom, "Made in America."  I like that!  The brand is Lamberton Scammell and through painless detective work I discovered it is an old brand of restaurant ware (also, not very common).

This is an example of two perfect worlds colliding: grey + creamer.  What's more sophisticated?  I could stare at this little beauty all day.

The lady ringing me up at Goodwill said, "You waited in line just for this little guy?" We then agreed he was worth it. Walker China...a good weight and good size. He was pretty scuzzy and soaked a long while before he became good as new!

You know how much I adore my little creamers and this one is the first I've ever seen in black; I'm calling it ink.

I found each piece here at a different time, but I find them so perfect all together like this.

Left to Right: a creamer (so clunky + lovely) that I'm having a hard time identifying as anything other than Ball USA; a small vase made in the USA from a manufacturer in Miami called Bard International; finally, a porky Homer Laughlin creamer. I am so drawn to white ceramics.

...A creamer I think I just might give to my mom - who loves the autumn. I found it at a plant show's rummage sale. What?! I know, a strange place. It's Wallace (Rust Leaf); from the 1940s.

For such a small price, I couldn't say no to this tiny Shenango creamer...the olive color is great, too. It doesn't have a handle which I really like.

I bought this deep chocolate creamer at the most retro of places in Palm Beach County - Delray's Goodwill. I thought it would look nice with my Gaudalupe roses as they're pink and I have long loved the pink/brown color combination. Come to think of it, my Hot Chocolate roses will look nice in here, too.
