another really great library book

Ideas, ideas, ideas = born here.  Love this book!  Another one I might have to buy for my permanent collection.

not just lorem ipsum

The Pyrex drought is unreal.  Or, is it imagined?  Is my obsession finally...over?  I do see some pieces in the thrifts, but they are ones I already have or have had or have no interest in having (phew).  I've been thrifting slightly more in the last month+, and I see it out there:  Pyrex I cannot justify.  While totally pretty, I can't say I need it.  I love my collection as is - and while there are certain pieces I would never turn down - I haven't had the pleasure of having to rescue anything in a very long time (I think it has been 1 solid year since I bought my last Pyrex).  I moved recently, and part of me is...yowzas, I never want to pack/unpack anything ever again.  Plus, it's hard to take a toddler down the most breakable aisle in a thrift shop. I don't know what else to collect right now, so I might start playing house and rearranging our new abode a bit better than it is now...Photos forthcoming.

I did get a little jacket for George at a thrift shop yesterday.  For $2.50.  I don't know why, but I am totally proud of this jacket I found.  We have two trips in the works (Montana in September and Oregon in October), and I'm starting to put together a cold-weather wardrobe for my very, very Florida boy.  I don't want to spend a ton of money on it, either...since we don't have much use for the long sleeves (yet).  I haven't taken a picture of this jacket, but I will soon.

$2

(Can't find my camera's battery charger, so...this was taken with my Droid's Vignette app.)

I am lucky, lately, finding hand painted treasures.  This happens to be a tiny one - 4" square at the most - the back is signed by a George Glenn and dated 1945.  "Maple Sugar Time, Quebec."  If I could jump into the canvas, I would.  Art transporter!  Let's see if we can't create one of those.
